While it is true that some of the sources I used in preparing this biography of Robert Goddard have contradicted each other in places, and sometimes left gaps of multiple years in their chronologies of his life, I alone bear the responsibility for any mistakes that exist in these Web pages.

As to opinions expressed:

While I am perfectly capable of providing an account free of bias, feeling, emotion, and the distorting effects of opinion, I choose not to do so in this instance. I admire Robert Goddard both for his work and his character, and wish most profoundly that the people of this country had honored and supported him long before they finally did.
