Errata

Page 37: "A low-pressure appliance uses refrigerants with a boiling point BELOW -50°c at atmospheric pressure." (Emphasis in original.)
This is incorrect: Low-pressure appliances use refrigerants with high boiling points. (Compare page 39.) Per CFR 40 Part 82.152(y) it is the definition for very high pressure appliances. (See page 128.) The lower-case "c" for Celsius is also a mistake, although a minor one.
Page 37: "MVAC-like appliance means mechanical vapor compression, open drive compressor appliances used to cool the drivers or passengers compartment of a NON-road motor vehicle."
Although it comes directly from the CFR, I feel this is a poor explanation.
Page 39: "Low-pressure appliances use refrigerants with a boiling point above 10°c at atmospheric pressure."
This is the correct definition: See CFR 40 Part 82.152 (i). (Compare first entry for page 37.) The lower-case "c" for Celsius is also a mistake, although a minor one.
Page 47: Heading: "SECTION 608, 609 & 611 GROUP I PRACTICE QUESTIONS."
Section 611 is not mentioned in the text or in the index. You have to refer to the appendices to learn that Section 611 has to do with labeling. I saw it as I leafed through the appendices; but when I went back to pin down which page it was on, I could not find it again.
Page 49: The following questions were developed from the Federal Register and from official EPA material."
The author's notes on each appendix that quotes CFRs state they were downloaded from EPA bulletin boards. These notes make it abundantly clear that the EPA regards this material as unofficial. Therefore I question the reliability of these practice questions.
