I'm not sure that all of these are mistakes. With Biggle so old when this book was published, I should probably cut him some slack. Still, there are cases when the misspellings occur in parts of the tale set in present day, and these should follow standard English. In other cases, as with "course", it's elsewhere spelled correctly as "coarse." And of course the missing or doubled words are obvious mistakes. As I note in my review, these look like they should be laid on Biggle's editor.
