Errata

Page 5: "...it's often called Sunday school (and characterized by those who accept that the Sabbath, the day of rest, is Saturday by a similar name)."
This doesn't tell me how the "appropriate religious vehicle" is characterized.
Page 8: "I do not want, nor need, to be 'saved.'."
He means, I presume, "saved" by government by faith-based initiatives. (Also, change "nor" to "or".)
Page 17: "Amazingly, Religious Right groups that now claim to control both houses of Congress, have an open line to the White House, and have four or five ideological cohorts on the U.S. Supreme Court still carp about being victims of persecution."
Missing comma: S/B "groups, that now claim to control both houses of Congress,".
Page 8: "I do not want, nor need, to be 'saved.'."
He means, I presume, "saved" by government by faith-based initiatives.
Page 27: "They were not pleased either when in an early treaty with Tripoli, President John Adams and the U.S. Senate signed off..."
Missing comma: S/B "when, in an early treaty with Tripoli,".
Page 49: "This was not a popular position to take in cold war-era America."
  Capitalization: S/B "Cold War-era".
Page 69: "We know more about all of these theories than when they were first proposed by Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton, or Enrico Fermi."
This refers to the scientific theories of evolution, gravity, and electromagnetism. But it was James Clerk Maxwell, not Enrico Fermi, who propounded the theory of electromagnetism.
Page 76: "...and, just as a law of economics states that good money drives out bad money, laws of science say that good science drives out bad."
I think the good Reverend has got Gresham's Law backward.
Page 111: "A Pennsylvania minister, the Reverend Mark Richard Watkinson, became convinced that the [Civil War] was God's punishment on the nation for failing to recognize him in the Constitution."
Capitalization: S/B "Him". (Unless the Pennsylvania minister felt it was Mark Richard Watkinson's name that should be recognized.)
Page 135: "One African-American Philadelphia minister and former Philadelphia Eagles football star, Herbert Lusk, was awarded $1 million in federal grants after endorsing Bush on behalf of his whole church..."
Missing comma: S/B "African-American, Philadelphia minister and former Philadelphia Eagles football star". (Unless, that is, there's more than one African-American Philadelphia minister who's a former Philadelphia Eagles football star.)
Page 172: "Falwell might as well be waving a copy of Moby-Dick."
  Unwanted hyphen: S/B "Moby Dick".
Page 248: "(He'd probably prefer to chat with John Stewart."
Who does this refer to? If it means the host of The Daily Show, S/B "Jon Stewart".
Page 251: "...and wants to block the distribution of some methods of artificial contraceptives."
S/B either "methods of artificial contraception" or "forms of artificial contraceptives"".
