Errata

Page 58: "light hair is usually the wife, heroine, princess, maiden in distress, or Doris Day, dark hair is for women, mistresses, or more aggressive heroines."
I repeat this quote from Perutz because I think it's missing an adjective before "women". I can't say for sure what that word might be; but possibilities include "fallen" and "loose".
Page 96: "Nursing and the gestures derived from it contribute to the development of adult values and behavior, among them sexual stimulation."
This sentence at the bottom of p. 96 is repeated immediately at the top of p. 97.
Page 132: "The stoic face is reversed among males in most societies."
  S/B "revered".
Page 157: "The young are small, horned and have no penis hair tuft; adults have large horns and a penis tuft."
  S/B "small-horned".
Page 162: "Desmond Morris' and Eibl-Eibesfeldt's theory that nakedness functions to help cool during hunting would suggest that the male should be the less hairy sex. On the other hand, if hairness became socially undesirable, the selection against it would be greater among females."
  S/B "hairiness".
Page 183: "Epaulettes of military uniforms exaggerate shoulder angles and baroque cords; chest-plates, medals and cross-straps call attention to the chest area."
S/B "Epaulettes of military uniforms exaggerate shoulder angles; and baroque cords, chest-plates, medals, and cross-straps call attention to the chest area."
Page 206: "Even to us amateur people watching artists, the social processes are more interesting if one can rationally identify the signals he is responding to — even though it may in no way affect one's responses. Witnessing a fashion change from shoulder pads to rounded shoulders or a change in the Hollywood ideal from a high forehead to a low one and being able to comprehend how this interrelated with the changes in the social processes of youth adulation gives it less of a black-box aura."
  Three typos here:
a) S/B "people-watching artists".
b) S/B "even though this may in no way affect".
c) S/B "to comprehend how this is interrelated".
